Stock Only Catalog Codes - Disabled Widget Levels 2 and 3:
- Create a new Ruleset in SYSTBL CFG.RULES.LAD (if there isn't another catalog code with a ruleset that can be used)
- Create a new Generic Name for Labels in SYSTBL GNC.LAD
- Create a new Catalog Code via SYS9026 - first digit coincides with which Level 1 menu it will fall under (ie, 2=Reclosables):
- Enter the Generic Name Code that was created above
- Enter the Parent Code under which this new catalog code falls (in nested menus)
- Enter the Sort Sequence where this catalog code should show under the parent heading
- Enter the Ruleset that was created above
- Marketing is responsible for the Specification Codes (Material Spec, Storage Spec, etc)
- In F5-Item Info, select Y for Disable Search. This will disable Levels 2 and 3. Leaving this as N or blank will enable both levels. Answer remaining questions in F5 that apply. Make sure to put in a Singular UOM if this item can be sampled.
- Once the new catalog code is saved, make sure that this new code appears in the parent/child Xref - this is in the parent's catalog code record, field 63.
- Check SYSCON CONFIG.SETTINGS.LAD to see if this new catalog code needs to be added to any field(s). ie, if being added to the Accessories Menu, you may need to add this to field 16.
*** Once the catalog code has been created, it will appear on the web menu right away.
*** Once the catalog code is added to the ITMMST via BOM3000/Catalog Code screen, results will begin to appear (as long as the new stock items have been created or copied from LIVE to DEV). They may not be added to the cart until they have inventory and pricing established.
Stock Only Catalog Codes - All Widget Levels Enabled:
Follow the same process as above, except for 3.f. Set Disable Search=N to enable Levels 2 and 3:
- To add a default to any level 3 menu, do so in WEB9001 for the appropriate criteria name (ie, S.MATERIAL). These are done by ruleset in F8-Dflt/Valid.
Stock Only Catalog Codes - Disabled Widget Level 3:
Follow the same process as above, including Disable Search=N. To disable just Level 3 options:
- In WEB9001, enter a default of nothing (just enter by the field) in F8-Dflt/Valid. Do this for S.MATERIAL, S.COLOR and S.PKG
- For Printing and Venting to show up as blank defaults, you have to modify FCT.VENTING.GROUP.ENABLED and FCT.PRINTING.GROUP.ENABLED and set ENABLED=0 for the ruleset.
MOD/MP Catalog Codes:
New MP Catalog Codes require programming changes in addition to menu setup. To start, WEB.MODITEM.CHECK needs to be changed to create a MOD result. Other things to consider:
- Pricing - from Excel???
- Freight Calculation - from Excel???
- Label Description (Generic Name Code to be assigned to the catalog code)
- Default Count and Quantity calculations
- Widget defaults
- etc ...
