Technical specifications:

The Experience

Location: The Experience is a container anchored on the right third of the Laddawn.com website.

Overview: The Experience is comprised of four primary features that integrate with other areas of the Laddawn website. These features are: Search, What’s On Your Mind?, Bulletin, and the Feed.

Pre-Login:

Twitter feed with 1 “hero space”

Hero space: The Bulletin will occupy this space.

Post-Login: (Customer Interface)

Search: The search field supports free-form search of the Experience. Searches can be made of any content in the body of a feed post. When a search term is entered into the field the search will begin to check the content of feed posts returning the most recent exact match results first.

What’s On Your Mind: “What’s On Your Mind” is a text field with a 550 character limit that allows the user to share comments with colleagues and Laddawn contacts. Text entered in WOYM is delivered to the Feed via the Share button directly beneath the field and right-aligned. Adjacent to the left of the Share button is a radio button (on/off) with an accompanying description “Share to entire network”.

Sharing: When the share button is clicked one of two things will occur. If the adjacent radio button is clicked (on) then the content of the WOYM field will be created as a post that is shared to the user’s entire network.

If the radio button is off, a shadowbox menu will be displayed prompting the user to select which members of their network they wanted to share with.

Bulletin: The bulletin field is an automatic scrolling carousel that contains critical messaging and content for our customers. We expect a mix of multimedia content and priority messaging to occupy this space. The Bulletin will support 1-4 “articles” with appropriate navigation options.

The Feed: The Feed occupies the lower two-thirds of the Experience. The feed is populated by messages or posts representing activity on Laddawn.com. Typically the content is arranged by timestamp, with the most recent content occupying the top of the feed.

System Messages: System messages are generated automatically when users preform certain actions on Laddawn.com. All messages contain a similar icon denoting a system generated message, a time stamp, and a summary note indicating the type of transaction and additional relevant detail. Most messages include a link to the relevant medium.

Social Posts: Social messages are generated by users of the Experience to share thoughts with contacts and Laddawn team members. Social messages will include a time stamp, an avatar for the originating user, and an indicator to display the quantity and status of any comments.

Users can react to social messages by adding comments. Clicking on the Comments label on a social post expands a post downward to reveal a text field (250 character limit) with a flashing cursor. Text entered to the field can be added to the post by pressing the Enter key (on keyboard).
