Laddawn.com : Bi-Weekly Status

Prior to 11/8, reports were weekly.

Status of first pass at "complete" design. Does not reflect any unforeseen changes. (For example, need to modify Shop tab for CPU.)   image2013-5-23 9:35:0.png

Design

    • We have made significant progress on "taming" shipping and handling preferences.

LOAP:

Launched 3/24.(thumbs up)

  • CHANGE - 8/15 (+ 1 weekday, essentially unchanged)

LOAP:

Launch is imminent - need to address Twitter feed and put finishing touches on content.

Launch:

  • CHANGE - 7/18 > 8/14 (+ 19 weekdays)

Meeting - Invited Jeff B and John D to present on "The Experience"

Next meeting 3/7/13
Issues & highlights:

Bulk of LOAP coding complete. Good progress on saving items and tagging, but design likely to take longer than budgeted in WorkZone to complete. No impact yet on launch date. Upcoming activities light, due to school vacation week.

Working launch date: 7/18/13

Change since last report: None.

Susan, Steve, John and Jim reassessed where things stand with design and programming tasks. We adjusted some dates, dependencies and durations to reflect the addition of tagging, and newer, better info on how long some programming tasks will take. These changes pushed estimated launch date out 2 weeks to July 18.  It may not be our nation’s birthday, but it just happens to be Constitution Day in Uruguay. Wherever we can, we will, of course, work to bring the date back in.…
Meeting January 17
Issues & highlights:

CE functionality that needs to be preserved is relatively complex. Providing a seamless flow between Avante and Web tasks presents some technical and UI challenges; more discovery is required.

Working launch date: 7/5/13

Change since last report: None.

No meeting. Next meeting and report, Jan. 10, 2013.
Issues & highlights:

On track for scaled back launch scenario

Working launch date: July 4, 2013

Change since last report: -10 weeks

We met on 12/13/12 to discuss alternative launch scenarios. We settled on a modified version of scenario 2 - we will launch without narrative thread, freight estimator or new bundling choices only if necessary to make an early July launch. But we are not giving up on those features just yet. We are going to see if we can come up with a phased approach to the narrative thread (launch something basic in July, and continue to add to it with future releases).…
Meeting 11/29: Ladd, Dawn, Owen, Jim, John, Steve
Issues & highlights:
Working launch date: September 9, 2013

Change since last report: +63 days

Meeting 11/8: Ladd, Dawn, Owen, Jim, John, Steve
Issues & highlights:
  • Competing priorities/work causing programmers and marketing to have uncertainty around dates and/or push dates out for some tasks/milestones.
  • Should we meet next Thurs., 11/15? Next reporting period includes 11/22 & 23 holiday.
Working launch date: to be posted Friday

Change since last report: +N days or - N days or no change

No meeting 10/25
Issues & highlights
  • Programming shop widget pushed to 11/30. Work to commence on search results at that point; at some point after that commences, developers will need YMAC requirements, which until this week has been stalled - level of effort to complete that will not be known till next week. In spite of this, no change to working launch date based on current dependencies.
  • If we meet our goals for My Account/User prefs by 11/2, we'll likely want to have a design review with Ladd & Dawn soon thereafter.
Working launch date: July 8, 2013

Change since last report: No change

Meeting @ 9:30 - LL, DS, JM, OR, JP, SP
Issues & concerns

My account/user prefs pushed out at least one week. Steve B. starts Mon., 10/22. (smile)

Working launch date: July 8, 2013

Change since last report: +10 days

No meeting.
Issues & concerns

Some activities that were planned for this week had to be deferred to next week, due to competing priorities for Sales & Marketing (e.g. pricing) and unforeseen technical hurdles for programmers.

Working launch date: June 28, 2013

Change since last report:   no change

No meeting this week.
Issues & concerns

None at this time.
