When Laddawn has bundling alternatives to offer, verbiage appears, followed by the first 2 choices, with third choice only if relevant.
We ship items to minimize costs and maximize convenience.
We aim to minimize costs and maximize convenience when we ship your items.
We ship your items based upon the most common customer preferences.
We generally ship items as they become available. Here's how we'll ship your order. To make changes, choose (the bundling option/ one of the bundling options) below or click on availability dates to make changes individually. (Where no options exist, dates grayed out?)
O Ship all of my items together from (my primary warehouse location). Items will ship on the date the last item in the order is available. (no longer editable on line by line basis, gray out dates)
O Ship my stock item(s) with my Made on Demand item(s) with the earliest ship date. When there are stock items <$500 and MOD items with different dates (no longer editable on line by line basis, gray out dates)
Item-by-item scenarios
All scenarios: Distributor's primary warehouse is Sterling, MA
Scenario 1
Item 5678 is technically available to ship from Sterling today (and available dates in Search and Cart reflect this), but at the checkout stage, by default it is bundled with Item 1234 which is not available from any warehouse today. Note: "Additional shipping charge may apply" does not appear when stock total is < $500.
Don't need this when >$500 because we generally eat that anyway. Check w/Dawn. (LL, JM, SP, 7/2) Alternative might be a pre-determined freight upcharge (SHOW the cost, don't hint at something vague).
Scenario 2
Total for stock item 1234 is under $500. No stock to be found in any facility.
Scenario 3
Customer is ordering item 1234, total is under $500, there is stock in Iowa.
Default and 1st option need to be flipped (LL, JM, SP, 7/2)
Scenario 4
Customer is ordering item 1234, total is over $500, no stock to be found in any facility
(Same as Scenario 2, under $500, no stock anywhere.)
Scenario 5
Customer is ordering item 1234, total is over $500, there is stock in Iowa
Stock >$500, everything available from primary warehouse within 24 hours - "as available"
Stock <$500, everything available from primary warehouse within 24 hours "as available"
Stock <$500 + MOD
Pre-checkout cart scenario:
Multiple stock items, stock total <$500.
When a stock item in cart/checkout is not available from ANY** warehouse w/in 24 hrs, but 1 or more others are available w/in 24 hrs from default warehouse....
1234, available: 6/19
5768, available: 6/22
Item 1234 will ship with your other stock items from sterling ma w/in 72 hours
Additional option(s):
Ship item 1234 within 24 hours from sterling ma
*When stock >$500, this option does not appear to the customer, but would appear to Laddawn staff.
*Alternatively, offer the option, but say, "Additional freight charges may apply." ; If customer raises stink, CE can override additional freight charges on case by case basis.
**Default or predetermined alternate
