  • Convert converted quotes for the past 1-1/2 yrs
  • Convert active quotes (<= 2 weeks)
  • Not sure on quoted items that have never been converted.  How would c/e and/or customer look up ashad quotes for re-pricing if we don't have these in order history or saved items?
  • Possibly write saved items for open quotes?  Converted Quotes?  If so, write for just the contact on the quote?  Possibly remove the contact# from the CONTACT.ITEM.XRF.USR record and make this by billto# instead?  If so, the 'me' search would show on MOD items that I created but would show all stock items
  • If it's decided not to write saved items, a suggestion was made to allow an existing quote# to be entered at the top bar to populate the widget.  Maybe for ce only?  Remove after a short period of time.  This will have an affect on the quote conversion but not the order history conversion.
  • Can we convert SHEETING and TUBING?  What about full gauge ... will the price be correct?  Suggestion made to stop the entry of SHEETING and TUBING quotes before the launch.

Tech notes:

  1. Only assign 1 MOD Item# per configuration with the associated quote numbers multi-valued within the record
  2. Fix CFORDER/CFQNA field 13 to match the MOD item criteria
  3. Check CFBLDHDR and other files to make sure no add'l conversion needed
  4. Purge quotes and configurations before the conversion to limit what we convert?

1/20/14 -

  1. Purge quotes, orders, configurations.  Do we only convert the most recent version of a configuration?  The most recent converted revision or just by date?
  2. Run the WEB.CONFIG.CONV to convert the CF... files once we determine which configurations are being converted
  3. Create a new MOD.ITMMST.USR record for each 'MOD Item' by saving characteristics in a string in a work file??  If don't find a match, create another MOD item for the billto.
  4. We will only create at the billto level - no contact-level saved items will be created???
  5. Update (using the CFHDR where-used?) the quote/sales order that had this revision with the MOD Item# that we create 

 

11/18/14 - Per Owen, Jim, and Susan:

  1. All Active (unexpired/unconverted) quotes will be put into shopping carts - should we do this regardless of whether CE or customer created the quote???  What should shopping cart name be?  Separate cart for each quote, or combine by zip code?
  2. Created a saved item for any stock/MOD item that has a customer part# in CUSTPARTXRF.USR
