Accounting
- Credit will have to authorize multiple sales orders for a single master order
- New G/L accounts for shipping upcharges (residential, export pallets, etc.), no longer built into quotes - more granular break down in invoice
- A/R - do we need to set up new codes to accept the new shipping chargebacks/deductions
- Discussion point: For West Coast "must ship today" orders, Accounting will need to run the credit hold report at time TBD; when should we shut off must ship today as option.
- Concept of master order numbers and individual order numbers
- A/R - invoices will look a little different. Print a before and after sample. Make sure shows master order and individual order numbers
Purchasing
- Export pallets - revisit older conversation RE export pallets larger than 40 x 48, any issues? Have orders become more frequent?
Shipping
- Custom sales order numbers are XXXXXX today; going forward they will be XXXXXXA, XXXXXXB, etc.
- FYI - Labels will look different - printing multiple PO numbers, part numbers; can have different looking labels for the same order based on customer choice.
- Pickslips will have new date box titles: ship on, arrive on, ship on or before - will no longer get "do not ship before" comment. Ship on MEANS SHIP ON - DO NOT SHIP BEFORE! ALSO MEANS MUST SHIP TODAY, IF IT IS TODAY'S DATE! Pickslip WILL NOT say 'must ship today' in the comments!!!!
- "Must ship today" report changed
- Need more info on the comments ship complete, and backorder.
- Shipping will now see a customer pickup FOB code of CPU.
Production
- Work order numbers are CXXXXXX today; going forward they will be CXXXXXXA, CXXXXXXB, etc.
- FYI - Labels will look different - printing multiple PO numbers, part numbers; can have different looking labels for the same order based on customer choice.
