Laddawn.com : Programming Spec - Sharing a Stock or MOD Item for Email Disabled Contacts

Establish Customer Email Preference using SLSCONTACT.USR record:

  • Contact can be set up for emailing (<14> valid email address; <43> # "1")
  • Contact can be set up for faxing only (<43> = "1"; <21> # "1")
  • Contact can be a set up for neither emailing or faxing (<43> = "1"; <21> = "1")

Sharing Made On Demand Items from Results or Carts

  • If the contact is set up for emailing, normal Share logic will be invoked.
  • If the contact is set up for neither emailing or faxing a message will convey this to him/her:
    • "To Share an item via email please reach out to our customer experience team who will set you up".
  • If the contact is set up for faxing only he/she will receive a message about being set up for Sharing and a prompt that allows then to fax the output to themselves
    • "To Share an item via email please reach out to our customer experience team who will set you up".
    • "Would you like to fax this item and its pricing now?"

Share a Stock Item or Sharing a Cart

  • If the contact is set up for emailing, normal Share logic will be invoked.
  • If the contact is set up for neither emailing or faxing a message will convey this to him/her:
    • "To Share an item via email please reach out to our customer experience team who will set you up".
  • If the contact is set up for faxing only a message will convey this to him/her.
    • "To Share an item via email please reach out to our customer experience team who will set you up".

Avante/DB Changes

  • When a fax only customer elects to receive his/her MOD Item via fax a call will be made to Avante system to fax the item via the Optio engine.  This call must be invoked in both the Results and Active Cart areas of the website.

Sharing History:

  • When a MOD Item is faxed to the customer no Sharing history will be captured and/or made available in the Shared Items area.
