7/31 - Decisions and followup on save icons (with exception of Cart PSD, this is done)
We like the pin icon the best; however, after going around and around on what icons to include within the Saved items and Saved carts tabs (pins for each? two carts on saved carts?), we decided that no icons in the three middle tabs may be the best option of all. It's a little less playful, but much cleaner, perhaps enhancing the focus on the shop widget (and active cart). (By the way, no one really knew how the icon in Order history tab (holdover from Corey design) conveyed "order history" - which was another nail in the coffin for icons on the three inner tabs. We would like the pin icon/save text link to appear wherever the tagging icon/text link appeared in search results and cart. After seeing this change and confirming it's what we want, we'll want you to update the PSDs.

Subject: Saved Icon Ideas
Hi folks, here are a few ideas for "Save" icons.
Idea 1 - floppy disk.
This is unbelievably still the the standard "save" icon even though floppy disks haven't been used in 10+ years. Also, I think it might be a good idea to have "Saved Items" and "Saved Carts" tabs next to each other so people start to understand the relationship between the two. Saved items can be made into cart, which can be saved as well.
Some quick research on the floppy disk as a UI element...

Idea 2 - making the item a "Favorite" vs. just using save.
I thought about instead of doubling up on the use of the "Save" for both items and carts we could position items as "Favorites." I think most people understand that marking something as a favorite acts as a saving mechanism as well. Using the star as an icon is also a UI standard for "Favorite" as well.
Idea 3 - Pinning an item and changing the "Saved Cart" Icon
I thought that the idea of pinning an item is an idea that has become popular with pinterest. Currently we are using a pin for carts but pinning is generally meant for an individual item so I think it is more relevant for single items. I changed the "Saved Carts" icon to fit this new paradigm by creating a new "Saved Carts" icon. In this case, I still kept the "Save" term but teamed it up with the pin icon.
