Discussion with Tina/Meme on 6/19/12
They are a little bit concerned about adding the packaging comments at checkout and adding the associated charges at that time. We will need to finalize the decision on whether to charge and how to make sure the customer is aware that there may be additional charges for these items at checkout time.
They felt that most of the available shipping comments can and should be made available on the web. The list may be able to be cleaned up a bit but as a starting point has about 25 or 30 choices.
We talked briefly about shipping and packaging preferences. The general feel is that the types of preferences we set today are generally customer preferences not contact specific preferences. This introduces a tricky conversation about whether there are both customer and contract preferences and who can manage each. I will have a follow-up conversation with them to get a better sense of how this can and should work.
