Status & accomplishments

Jim and John came to strong agreement that LOAP project is ideal candidate for outsourcing.  The design team has completed design of facelift and content specs. John has filled in the needed technical details and is packaging it all up as "outsourcable" project.  Jim is responsible for identifying and selecting an outsource partner for the project.

Close to finishing Saved Items (due 1/22).

Held 2 in-depth meetings with CE; uncovered issues that will need to be resolved through tweaks to Avante, the web design and/ or business processes.

Participated in a 2 hour design session with John, Jeff, and Chrispy to review progress of Narrative Thread.

1. Completed work on the shop tab for all practical purposes. While not everything is perfect (more ongoing QA is needed), it is to a point where we can move forward on search results. When search results are completed we may do a more thorough QA.

2. Wayne has started on task of setting up Avante to hold details on the items so that we will have the data to search through. I expect he will have the exact match logic working within the next two week or so. Still some question as to how to establish the proper availability date for purchased out of stock items.

3. Sal continues to climb a steep learning curve, while fighting other projects we've included him in; he has made meaningful advancements in the My Account area.

4. Judy has completed the Made On Demand rules for Bags, & Furniture Bags. She is working on sheeting and tubing now.

5. I've completed a design of the LOAP project in expectation that it is something we can outsource to a contract resource.

Content specs for LOAP overlapped quite a bit with content analysis task, but more needs to be done in order to design content pages and get content cleanup/development going.

Scheduled to commence 3/14/13Planning scheduled to commence 1/17/13
Upcoming activities & goals

Jim will reach out to Neptune Web (previously worked on our Cart functionality) and Cathy Winsor (a candidate for the .Net Developer position that we recently filled) to solicit quotes for the work. The feeling is that they are both viable candidates for the work.

Susan will do cursory cleanup of content; Parke to wordsmith headings and links.

Commence with Saved Carts (due 2/19); resume Checkout (due 2/26).

Second checkpoint with narrative thread team - Jan 23.

Ongoing discovery meetings with CE and analysis of requirements.

 1. Have Wayne, Judy, & Sal to continue with their current tasks.

 2. Have Ed start focusing on the search results area.

 3. Design how we are going to establish how we can satisfy the request with a MOD item.

 4. Design the "More Details" area of the search results to get more parallel work going (hopefully)

Wrap up content analysis and schedule work.
