Proposal
A "quote all MOD as full gauge" preference can be set (by CE only) at the bill to level only. If it is set, the widget gauge parameter will be pre-set to full gauge.
Since we cannot determine ship to on the widget screen (or the cart screen), distributors who do not have this blanket preference need to be trained to request full gauge if their full gauge needs are variable (from drop ship to drop ship, or for MOD items intended for their own location). We will not maintain comments about always quoting FG for a specific drop ship, or about always having to ask "full gauge or nominal?" on quotes for certain customers. Keep in mind - the risk of getting it wrong is limited to new business.
TBD - how do we interpret this preference for nominal as hads? What about ULine, who carries nominal forward on as hads, but has preference for FG on all new quotes?

"Always ask" – Hughes (4044) and International (020042)
Attached is a spreadsheet of 227 orders entered since 10/1/12 for customers 020042 and 4044. Of the 227 orders:
- 210 were from International; 73 were full gauge (34.8%)
International has about 106 ship tos in the list. Many sets of orders are either consistently full or nominal gauge, but there are some ship tos that have a mix. And orders destined for International itself are mixed.
- 17 were from Hughes; 4 were full gauge (23.5%)
- Hughes has 9 ship tos in this data. One, IAP inc is full gauge for all 3 orders (the same product/configuration) – so I would think quoting from as hads/converted orders takes care of this
In any case… Rather than us continue to bear the burden of asking them, we propose having Laddawn sales reps work with them to be sure they know they need indicate their preference to us on each quote/order – like everyone else!
We should handle the ship-to specific comments/alerts the same way - train the customer to ask. (Landsberg-NY and CME Integrated).
