Draft findings

Defining “active” as most recent invoice after 1/1/12 - there were 1747 lines of 000 comments. This doesn’t equate to number of comments. Since comment lines in Avante do not wrap, many individual comments exceeded one line.  Meanwhile, some lines contained more than one comment  - for example, I counted "call on all back orders and price discrepancies" as two comments, since many customers have only one or the other comment, not both. All in all, there are 000 approximately 1300 comments. 

These comments are tied to 762 customers (672 bill tos, and 90 ship tos). However, 38 of the bill to comments were specific to a ship to – so the split may be more like 634 bill to / 128 ship tos. Going forward, we should move these comments out of the bill to record and into to the ship to record.

So far, about half of the 1300 comments clearly have a table-ized equivalent today, or in our design. However a significant number of these are conditional, potentially rendering automation more challenging.

The remaining 642, if not completely outdated, may yet have a table-ized equivalent, if we modify existing comments or create some new ones. Here are some potential new tabelized coments –
