SOME DISCUSSION; BUT ON HOLD PENDING COMPLETION OF HIGHER PRIORITY WORK

Meeting notes, 3/30/12

Avoid duplication of past orders tab; focus on items, not whole orders. On per item basis, look for customer's past ordering (or quoting?) patterns or trends, such as a specific item to a specific location on a recurring basis.

Space could be used for content other than predictive ordering suggestions? E.g.:

  • Custom alerts, i.e. user sets a preference to "tell me when pricing drops for product x" or "remind me to order product x on dd/mm/yy"
  • Sizing tool (now no longer encased in search widget above)
    • Lining round containers
    • Lining square containers
    • Pallet top covers
    • Other (what was it?)

What do we display for users in larger organizations (ie, with steps in workflow divided between sales reps and purchasing agents), who use Laddawn.com to generate quotes, but who typically don't place orders? Is it possible to determine quotes for items that led to orders for items?

Design: Repurpose the Corey slider for use with items? Ability to select (add to cart) or dismiss (remove from predictive content). Like the content in the second mockup below, but with Corey treatment?
