Shop Widget: Add Options

Grouping 1:  Standard Poly Bags

 

OVERVIEW

Here’s how the 3. Add functionality works:

Upon clicking any one of the five Add function (default ►), Q&A Prompts are to be presented in shadow boxes. Selections made will be indicated by an abbreviated summary word(s) when closed.

 

When one option is selected, others no longer valid will grey out. For example, if a user selects VCI, Postal Approved would grey out. When an option requires an input (%, for example) another shadow box will expand or cascade, then allowing that detail (percent, in this case).

Users may click on abbreviations to see full choices in reopened shadow box.

CATEGORIES 1 & 2:  LAYFLAT & GUSSETED BAGS

A.   MATERIALS & ADDITIVES

(a)  POSSIBLE OPTIONS

Default within the Shop Widget:  Standard.

With stock and MOD combined, there are 10 Base Level Materials & 4 Additives options. Upon Clicking on the word “Standard”, the following menu of options will appear:

  1. Standard – for the blend used in stock items
  2. LLD – for all high strength linear low density films
    If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:
    Select one or the other (mutually exclusive)
    1. Std Hexene Blend – for good tear and puncture strength
    2. Octene – for premium tear & puncture strength
  3. Clarity – for improved visibility of film contents
  4. Polypropylene – for display bags of superior clarity
  5. Antistatic
    If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:
    Select one of the four (mutually exclusive)
    1. Std Low Density – to optimize anti-static value
    2. Linear Low Density – where required by application
    3. Mil Spec – for films to meet MIL-PRF-81705D, Type II
    4. Other Pct – to customize the anti-stat added [Entry Field]
  6. Postal Approved – for films used in USPS mailing
  7. VCI (Vapor Corrosion Inhibitor) – for films to prevent rust
  8. Non Slip to increase friction between films
  9. Non Scratch – for a smoother film surface
  1. Metallocene – for high strength films or cold storage [Entry Field]
  2. Anti Block – for films that open easily for loading
  3. High Slip – for reduced friction between films
  4. UVI/UVA – to protect film and contents from the sun [Entry Field]

*Note: High Density will only be allowed if the user selects Liners from the Category drop-down.

Notes:  i) Standard Mattress venting will only be allowed for gusseted bags. ii) While a material may have no impact on dependencies, remember that bag sizes will - independent of materials chosen (rolls or boxes, printing allowed, venting questions, etc.).

B.   COLOR

(a)  POSSIBLE OPTIONS

Default within the Shop Widget:  Clear.

There are 13 Color options possible. Upon Clicking on the word “Clear”, the following menu of options will appear:

(1)  Light Green

If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

Select one of the four (mutually exclusive)

    1. Tint – for films you can see through in interior light
    2. Color – for films you may not see through in interior light

(2)  Medium Blue

If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

Select one of the four (mutually exclusive)

    1. Tint – for films you can see through in interior light
    2. Color – for films you may not see through in interior light

(3)  Red

If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

Select one of the four (mutually exclusive)

    1. Tint – for films you can see through in interior light

(4)  Brown

If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

(b) DEPENDENCIES

  1. When a color is selected, all other colors are greyed out.
  2. Materials & Additives: if any color is selected (not clear) neither Polypropylene nor Postal Approved will be allowed.  For all other materials, any color may be selected.
  3. Printing: If the user selects a color and then moves to printing, options will be limited based on the color of the bag selected.  (see chart below)

  1. Venting: There are no dependencies between color and Venting.

C.   PRINTING

 (a)  POSSIBLE OPTIONS

Default within the Shop Widget:  None.

There is only 1 Printing option possible. Upon Clicking on the word “None”, the following additional menu options will appear:

  1. Random Repeat – for a repeated image a specific distance apart

           If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

           Select one of the four (mutually exclusive)

    1. Create a New Plate

                      If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

                              i.      Enter a description of your new plate [Entry Field]

                             ii.      Height of image in inches [Entry Field]

                            iii.      Width of image in inches [Entry Field]

                           iv.      Print Color: (mutually exclusive)

        1. Brown

                          v.        Print Orientation

                                     (a)  Horizontal will read left to right when holding the bag with the opening at the top

                                     (b)  Vertical will read left to right when holding the bag with the bottom to the left and the opening to the right

                         vi.        Reading Orientation

                                     (a)  Standard for impression to be read right side up when holding the bag with the opening at the top

                b.  SP0021 – for Suffocation Warning (3”x6”) view

                     If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

                              i.      Print Color: (mutually exclusive)

(b) DEPENDENCIES

  1. Material & Additives:  When Random Repeat is selected, Polypropylene is not allowed.
  2. Colors:  Print colors may only be allowed as the color of the film dictates (see chart in section on Color).
  3. Venting:  There are no dependencies
  4. Packaging:  There are no dependencies

D.    VENTING

(a)  POSSIBLE OPTIONS

Default within the Shop Widget:  None.

 

There are 5 Venting options. Upon clicking on the word “None”, the following menu of options will appear:

  1. Normal – ¼” round holes, fully punched out of the film

           If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

           Select one or the other (mutually exclusive)

      1. Random Venting – for intermittent hole placement over bottom 2/3 of bag

 

                If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

                Select one or the other (mutually exclusive)*

                            i.      One Side – to vent the length of the bag along one side

                           If the bag width is <16”, then also show Center:

                           ii.      Center – to vent the length of the bag along midline

                           If the bag width is >6”, then also show Both Sides:

                          iii.      Both Sides – to vent the length of the bag along both sides

                          If either of the three are selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

                          Enter the desired number of holes per bag [Number]

     2.  User Specified – to customize hole placement

          If selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

          Select one or the other (mutually exclusive)

                            i.      One Side – to vent the length of the bag along one side

                           If either is selected, reveal by expand or cascade:

                           Enter the desired number of holes per bag [Number]

                           reveal by expand or cascade:

                                    (a)    Enter the desired number of inches:

                                    from the side of the item [Number]

                                    from the bottom of the item [Number]

                           If the bag width is <16”, then also show Center:

     2.  Butterfly – partial holes held to the film by a tab

          This sequence is exactly the same as Normal Venting (above).

     3.  Micro-Perforation – pin-sized holes spaced every 2”

          There are no follow up questions for Micro-Perforation.

     4.  Std Mattress Venting – butterfly holes on both sides, 3” from side, 10” up from bottom, 10” between

          There are no follow up questions for Std Mattress (only shown when dimensions suggest it).

(B) DEPENDENCIES 

  1. When Std Mattress is selected and the size is changed to layflat or a dimension inconsistent with a mattress, Std Mattress can no longer be allowed.
  2. Materials & Additives:  When any venting is selected, Polypropylene and VCI should be greyed out.
  3. Colors: No dependencies.
  4. Printing: No dependencies.
  5. Packaging: No dependencies.

E.    PACKAGING

(a)  POSSIBLE OPTIONS

Default within the Shop Widget:  Cases or Rolls Boxed. (see Dependencies)

There are 4 Packaging options. Upon clicking on the word “Cases” (or “Rolls Boxed”), the following menu of options will appear:

  1. Cases – for bags placed directly in cartons
  2. Rolls Boxed – for rolls in brown corrugated boxes
  3. Rolls Cradle Packed – for rolls packaged in poly sheeting and stacked on cradles
  4. Cases, Poly Lined – to line each carton with a bag

(b) DEPENDENCIES

  1. Bag sizes will dictate when the default will be “Case” or Rolls Boxed”.  (TBD, David Low can help set preferences.)
  2. Materials & Additives:  If anything other than boxes is selected, Polypropylene cannot be allowed.
  3. Colors:  No dependencies.
  4. Printing: No dependencies.
  5. Venting: No dependencies.
