This page serves as the clearinghouse for all notifications and acknowledgments, and general specifications such as formatting (for example, emails, will they be plain text or HTML?). The specific content and layout for each notification/acknowledgment type will live under the relevant parent page. For example, the shared item notification specs will live under the Share Items and Carts - COMPLETE page.

Receiving options for email
- Opt in - Default is not to send email. In user preferences, user may "opt in" to receive notification.
- Opt out - Default is to send email. In user preferences, user may "opt out" of receiving notification.
- Required - Notification is mandatory; user cannot opt out.
Receiving options for narrative thread
Q: Depending on filtering options, we may not want users to be able to suppress any of narrative thread notifications??? That way there's always an audit trail for the user or the CE rep.
Contacts who still prefer faxed acknowledgments
Only when CE is working on behalf of a customer who doesn’t accept emails, send a faxed acknowledgement using Avante Optio routines using current format. The triggering events are sharing an item (quote acknowledgment) or checking out (sales order acknowledgment), or making a change to an order after it has been placed. For orders with more than one bundle, these customers will get a separate acknowledgment fax for each bundle.
