At the search results and cart stages, availability date and warehouse are based on inventory for stock or lead time for MOD, on an item-by-item basis. However, at the checkout stage, the system will determine warehouse and availability on a combined basis, for optimal bundling of shipments.

Clicking availability date from an item row in search results or cart will open a shadow box which will indicate the location the item would ship from, and the date, were checkout to occur contemporaneously. If alternatives to the default exist, they will be shown for informational purposes; users will not be able to select any alternatives to shipping defaults until the checkout stage.

Key: PW = primary warehouse; AW = alternate warehouse; MW = manufacturing warehouse, TFW = Transfer From Warehouse, PORD = Purchase Order Receipt + 1; PLTD = Purchase Lead Time + 1.

Numbers refer to turnaround times; PW-24 means if today is 7/22/12, item is in stock at primary warehouse and date of availability will display as 7.23.12.

Important Note regarding Transfer Items on CPU Orders. Since Transfer Order and Truck management logic is very complicated and not totally integrated in Avante today we will allow the system to recommend shipments from Alternate Locations when back orders exist in the Primary (Order) Warehouse. For this reason, when a back order exists in the Primary Warehouse we will attempt to ship it from an alternate warehouse first (in order to avoid breaking into production lines) and then ship it from the Transfer Warehouse on the back order date when all else fails.
