CE task mapping

Combine reqs that go to same web screen, for example - 030, 110, 080, 070 - into one req type?

In order to begin any transaction on the website,  CE needs an efficient means of pulling up and switching between specific contacts and bill-tos

Susan and Steve will work with CE and Programmers to design and develop interface. It will most likely leverage the existing Avante C/E Request system as a portal; customer account to be retrieved via Avante as is done today; selection of specific request type (e.g., "sales order entry") will open appropriate web or Avante screen (opening of web screen for request type will include logging C/E in as the contact they are working with at the time).

4/8/13 - see the various 'flows' for bundling shipments which seem to address this satisfactorily.

4/30/13 The web screens noted will satisfy basic stock check functionality, but there are times when CR/CE needs to see entire inventory of stock in all warehouses, what's in transit, etc., ideally in conjunction with MRP screen. This enables them to assess customer requests for special, one-off volume discounts based on supply/demand. Typically the decision to give a discount or other special dispensation is made by a senior person, but the senior folks appreciate it when the CE/CR person does some due diligence first using the info in these advanced screens.

090: Print Acknowledgement

 X The original order acknowledgment is sent automatically, whether order placed in Avante or on web; some Avante ack's go out as faxes. This request type is really the ability to RE-produce (via email or fax) an acknowledgment of an order for customers who either didn't get the original automated acknowledgment or lost it.

Which actions will generate auto ack. Then, how do we enable RE-sending an Ack. Once you save a cart, checkout, or share something, how do you RE-do the email or acknowledgment? 1/8/13

11-special one-off price adjustments for custom quotes + history

For a variety of reasons, about 12 x /day, quotes are bumped to Mark & Tina via workflow for downward price adjustments based on various factors - they look at a variety of data and make a judgement call.

CE has the ability to make a subset of price adjustments - if all remains the same, but the customer wants to increase the quantity; Avante requires manual override of price based on resin, price/lb. We discussed that the stakeholders want to automate that - to program Avante to automatically preserve underlying resin price.

1/8/13: No change to UI per se, except in case of Mark/Tina override, the need for customer to see online that a manual price adjustment was made.

We keep the Mark/Tina manual process in Avante; we automate the pricing preservation for MOD quotes where quantity changes. If the only change to a quote is zip, price would change for freight, but not resin costs.

12-Quote Display

 X This is really the ability to see a whole host of factors affecting pricing of a custom quote, that we do not want customers to see, such as profit margin. This is editable up to a point; after quote conversion ( ? ) it becomes read only.1/8/13: Should stay in Avante for foreseeable future.

14-Print Quote

Basic functionality accomplished via Save/Share item and Save/Share cart.Advanced functionality (see comments)  - batch recall and printing - may need to remain in Avante for now. 1/29/13: CE "prints" (emails, faxes) quotes for customers who have lost their original faxed or emailed quote acknowledgment, or who were not copied on the original.   In addition, Mark and Tina use this to pull up many quotes at a time and shoot them to a printer in batch mode; they can then spread the papers out and see quotes side by side, make notes, etc.

1/29/13: We reviewed the "Saved Items" design work in progress. We think CE will be able to accomplish the same function via various screens on the web - all the data/content is there in saved/shared items, saved/shared carts, etc. -- however, none of the designs to date includes the ability to a)  quickly pull up multiple quotes and b) batch them up to a printer.

040-Sales Order Change (15%)

 X - 100%? 1/29/13: This is generally a change that occurs after an "order" has been created (for MOD and stock) and a pick slip generated, although it could be before a pick slip is generated.

1/29/13: We concluded this needs to remain in Avante for now; however, we need to determine if there are any specific sales order changes that are going away in Avante and which need to be addressed in web interface. Tina will produce a list.

2/5/13: Tina provided list. Long term, "Past Orders" should perhaps consist of recent orders that are still open for changes and closed orders. Original purpose, to recall/reorder items and new purpose, to make changes to open orders.

Versioning of revs to quotes would be nice to have.

I think this corresponds to a saved item, or MOD item in a cart; what is the universe of changes that can be made? (Quantity and....?) We have already talked about making unit pricing editable for CE.
