Scenario 1 - biohazard bag

  • Question mark on the RR/RP choice should be larger
  • Clicked on "click here to get started"
  • clicked choose artwork
  • not entirely clear to him, but picked 4x4 biohazard and placed the image
  • was asked what he would expect to happen, said "back functions are pretty standard so it should be included here"
  • was asked what he thought the spacing arrow was and he said he wasn't clear, thought it might be image size.
  • recommended "distance between images" or "top to top"
  • "tell me about this orangy thing," he said. he was asked what he thinks it is - "to make it larger?" (correct)
  • recommended eliminating the smaller orange circles
  • knew to click find right away "because there's no other options here"

Scenario 2 - quote without image

  • first question he asked "is it random or registered?" walked through his customer's normal scenarios for printed bags
  • chose random repeat
  • clicked on "your artwork" (the bottom image of random, not the top)
  • then clicked quick quote
  • clicked find
  • "i would take the minimalist approach" with this one

Scenario 3 - Caution, Hot Contents

  • clicked registered because "registered is centered"
  • clicked the "Add text" button
  • sort of racing through this one, wanted to click find right away
  • he was guided to click the text box to see the text
  • asked about measurements to confirm centering, etc. was informed there wuold be a ruler
  • then said "find.....I guess?"
  • was asked "what if they wanted the text to be red?"
  • he said "I have no clue, there's no button that says 'color choices'" (further supports need for a pallette here)
  • asked what the eyespot is, he said "I think it's showing me the color of the text, I wanted to click there to change the color of the text"
  • was told it was the reg mark, then realized. said "that's a great idea to have this here"
  • clicked find
  • on the results screen, asked if the color of text he selected would appear on this page, was told yes

Scenario 4 - JetBlue

  • clicked random right away
  • clicked click here to get started
  • clicked choose artwork
  • can't find the image, so goes right to the left tabs "this is a little hidden"
  • clicked my computer then upload file
  • found the jetblue logo no problem, placed it
  • clicked find

Scenario 5 - Split Rock Lighthouse

  • chose registered, chose artwork, my computer
  • found image and seletred it, placed it on bag
  • found color palette, noticed it picked up the logo colors and asked why.
  • clicked black and worked fine
  • asked how big is the ispot? said the mockup ispot looked large, Chris has to explain how we came up with the size of it in the wireframe
  • recommended we should explain it more
  • clicked find

Scenario 6 - Recycle #4

  • tore the bag in half along a perf in a "measuring exercise"
  • clicked random
  • used the purple "choose art" button
  • "maybe i should choose quick? because i don't have the image"
  • he switched to quick quote and went through the process without the #4 (interesting)
  • clicked find "that's how I'd do it"

Scenario 7 - Menudo Mix

  • selected registered print
  • clicked purple choose art button
  • chose my computer and upload, asked first what "Res" meant
  • found image, then asked "what does place mean?" - no response from us, then he just tried it
  • clicked find, all set
  • asked about doing wicketed bags, said it's very popular and said we should have that

Scenario 8 - YMCA

  • clicked registered
  • clicked purple choose art bag
  • found suffocation warning and placed it
  • clicked purple choose art button, found the image and placed it
  • (wondered if he would lose the suff warning if he chose new art)
  • clicked add text and it appeared
  • was asked to make the suff warning and text the same color as the green color in the logo
  • chose the color dropdown for the text and picked the color
  • did the same thing easily for the suff warning
  • clicked find

Post demo discussion:

wondered if we should only launch this to certain strategic partners first

was asked if he quoted print jobs himself. told story about a customer who needed a printed zip top bag,

clearview bag - customer said she got a quote directly from clearview

was asked if he would feel more confident with this tool vs the current

"You're asking the wrong guy. I don't have time to pull over on the highway and fight with an ipad to get prices"

"if I needed a printed quote I'd need 100% confidence that I could use it on my Ipad," otherwise he'd email Jen Stillman or another vendor that could do it for him. showed us that he would pick up his phone and just dictate the specs to get the quote.

the proof is great, he says. this is nice. great to have all the information. asked if he could still mark it up and share with a customer.

the share function gives him trouble on the Ipad, but he loves the share function in theory.

"you're on the right track"

recommended electronic signatures on the proof. we should investigate this, it's a good idea.

he stressed the importance of Ipads and IPhones for sales guys in the field, in their car, etc.

strongly recommended that we add a big "final sale, no returns"
