Facilitator: Susan Parker
Observer/Ace Notetaker: Jeff Copetas
Scenario 1 - caution hot contents
- "it's obviously registered" and chose registered
- clicked "click here for artwork" and then clicked the correct text box
- said she'd like to print a proof, and when prompted to get a quote for it, she said "i don't know how to get out of here"
- had to be guided to find button
- found the download PDF "my guess is that it's a PDF of the print of the bag to send to the customer"
Scenario 2 - Biohazard bag
- "This one is random because they don't care where it is on the bag"
- clicked "click here for artwork"
- paused on the three choices to reread, "they don't want a proof so it doesn't really matter. I just want to get a quick quote. Don't I have to put a size though?"
- "does laddawn have a biohazard image/plate that I could use?"
- Susan asks - "is there a way to do that here?"
- She thinks there is something that you can click on.
- She clicked on the choose artwork button (after guided) and found the biohazard symbol.
- "id probably leave it 4 inch by 4 inch" and selected it then picked find
Scenario 3 - Quick Quote
- "i would give them a quote for both random repeat and registered in this scenario"
- chose registered
- "id have to guess at how big they want their logo"
- chose quick quote because "i don't have my artwork"
- Susan: "what would you do if you could?"
- Answer: "I would add something in here that was close to the size of their logo"
- didn't know what the circle and check buttons meant in the format image box
- was guided to click find (Jeff note: I'm wondering if we should have a dummy image appear on the bag for quick quotes??)
Scenario 4 - Split Rock Lighthouse
- Clicked right to registered print
- clicked on choose artwork
- trying to find the image. stuck here - asking where to find her images. she couldn't find the three tabs on the left
- clicked image upload and found the split rock logo and selected it then clicked place
- found the color pallette and clicked black right away
- clicked find and all set. said it was reassuring to see the proof on the find screen
Scenario 5 - JetBlue
- selected random right away
- chose artwork and uploaded jetblue right away
- wondered how she might change the spacing on the RR. doesn't see an option to change the spacing
- "doesn't show me anything about the distance between the imprints"
- she was guided to the purple arrows, said she saw it, but didn't notice that you could actually adjust it
- clicked find
Scenario 6 - Recycle 4
- clicked random right away
- clicked choose artwork
- selected the 2x2 recycle logo
- changed to blue and clicked find
- looking for share button, "i would click share and if it looks like this, I would add markup and send off to customer"
- if it doesn't have the image in the share, i would download the PDF and email it to the customer
Scenario 7 - Menudo Mix
- selected registered print immediately
- opened upload artwork
- found image quickly and uploaded
- was asked about what she sees on the screen - said the interpretation of how many colors are printing on the bag is a factor.
- was guided on the color questions, but didn't know what we meant, then after a minute said "does it read the colors? that's really cool. I like that."
- clicked find, no problems
Scenario 8 - YMCA
- clicked registered right away.
- clicked "click here for artwork" and found suffocation warning with no problem
- paused....asking how to add image
- "i don't know how to get back to add another image"
- was guided to the purple choose art image
- found the logo no problem, added it
- found the purple text button and added the text
- re colors - asked "how do I get back to color? I don't know to get back"
- the color dropdown menu for text wasn't obvious, had to guide her to it. "doesn't stand out to me how to change the text color"
- changed the color on the suff warning much easier
way better than what we have now and was happy about the fact that there'd be a proof
Recommendation: make it more obvious what is what, what buttons do what (also recommended by Bob)
"i think you're on the right path. this is really nice."
said it would be great for really quick quotes.
"we don't do a ton of registered print. it would be great if you could run high-d registered print, you'd get a lot more business"
we may want to come back and talk with Amy, another BD employee who uses the laddawn and printing quite a bit
