Facilitator: Jay Burke
Observer/Note-Taker: Jeff Copetas

Scenario 1 -  No artwork

  • asked right away if he should choose random or RP
  • we stayed quiet, he chose (guessed?) random
  • clicked on click here to get started
  • selected quick quote from the three
  • "why is format your artwork here if I don't have artwork?"
  • the designer page:  "this is confusing"
  • asked if the image size is automatically what might fit on that size bag?
  • asked why we are seeing size options when all he wants to do is a quick quote
  • didn't do anything, just clicked find.
  • "this is a bad scenario because I'd want to talk to the customer first"
  • "but most of the time this is the level of information we have" (i.e., not very much)

Scenario 2 - JetBlue

  • chose random repeat
  • clicked on the purple artwork button (not the click here to get started)
  • found the three tabs pretty quickly and found the logo right away
  • "that was pretty simple, I like that"
  • "how did it choose the image size?"
  • asked him how he would change the size, went to two size boxes first, then recognized the orange box and rotation and talked about moving the image up and down
  • knew that the spacing button changed spacing and recognized spacing was top to top
  • asked what the "design area" was - we asked him to tell us. he gave the correct answer.
  • asked about zoom - guessed it might pull the image closer or further

Scenario 3 - Split Rock Lighthouse

  • clicked on registered and cited why (same spot on each bag)
  • discovered the click here to get started image "ohhhhhh" pleasantly
  • found the image and uploaded it no problem
  • went right to color pallette and picked black
  • "super easy"
  • "what the hell is an ISpot? I don't think this is going to print on the bag."

Scenario 4 - Biohazard

  • Chose random
  • found image easily and placed it
  • clicked find.
  • "that was super easy. great!"

Scenario 5 - Caution Hot Contents

  • clicked on registered print
  • "they don't have artwork and i know text, so I am putting text in"
  • easily added text by using the purple button
  • "this is awesome. are you f'ing kidding me?"
  • forgot to share, but found it quickly when we asked him to review the task
  • thinks the PDF download is just an image of the mockup
  • believes that the share button will deliver image and pricing to the customer

Scenario 6 - Blue Recycle 4

  • clicked on random repeat
  • clicked purple image button and found stock image right away, placed it
  • changed the color immediately
  • clicked find, no problems

Scenario 7 - Menudo Mix

  • clicked registered print
  • clicked purple image button, found and uploaded image
  • would resize the image by using the orange border (said he might use zoom in or out to change image size)
  • noticed that it's automatically picking up the colors, "holy shit!"
  • wondered if the ISpot has something to do with the fact that we picked up the colors
  • clicked find
  • on results page, asked "wait - does that ISpot print on the bag?"

Scenario 8 - YMCA

  • clicked on registered print
  • clicked on purple image button and found suffocation image, uploaded easily
  • found YMCA logo and placed it
  • clicked text and placed it easily
  • got stuck in finding a way to change the color of the text (after a minute, found the color dropdown)
  • selected suff image, changed color and clicked find

"I like where you're going with this, this is really great"

Asked to rate process of current confidence level quoting printing today:  4

With this new tool:  a 10.

"I'm more of a visual person, so this really helps me."

"All in all, very easy"

thought that Download PDF and Sharing the cart was "redundant" - thinks they're exactly the same

How am I getting pricing on registered print if all our vendors are outside? Wants to know if pricing is coming instantly when he does a find just like on RR.

"Will RP get me live pricing?"
