Facilitator: Jason Burke
Observer / Note Taker: Jason Burke
Scenario 1 – jetBLue
- Quickly selected “Random Repeat”.
- Upon first viewing the Print Designer window, her response was “What the hell?”. (I suspect it was part confusion, mainly because this quoting process is so different then what we are currently doing today) After she had a moment to digest this screen, you could see that she was starting to “get it”.
- Slowly read through each of the icons, “Quick Quote” – “Add Artwork” – “Add Text”.
- She commented how she felt like she should ‘click here’, after reading “Click here to get started”.
- In the image explorer window, she clicked on artwork image “White” in an attempt to start uploading an image.
- Tried to click on the “File” input box at the bottom. (She still hasn’t noticed the 3 tabs to the left)
- She tried clicking on artwork image “White” again and saying – “I don’t get what this means…”. After some time passed, she then said “Oh is that White Block?”
- She then located the 3 tabs, and said “What’s the difference?” as she was navigating between “My Artwork” and “My Computer”.
- Once she discovered “Upload”, she navigated that fairly quickly.
- She also wanted to change the color of the logo to blue and I told her to ignore that.
- Clicked on the ‘check mark’ icon, in an attempt to close the “Format Image” popup.
- “What does ‘Find’ do, I wonder…” was her response, then she clicked it.
- When first presented with the “Results” page, she appeared confused. Her reaction was similar to when she first saw the Print Designer. She said, “That doesn’t look right,… it’s so large…”. (She didn’t realize the item was ‘expanded’ to show it’s details)
Scenario 2 – BioHazard
- Quickly clicked on “Random Repeat”.
- She then said, “Why does this say ‘Click here to get started’ and this says ‘Your Artwork’?”.
- She thought “Your Artwork” with the dancing ants, was a place holder for putting a second image. (Not realizing it was the place holder for the ‘repeated’ image – which at that moment wasn’t selected)
- Clicked on “Click here to get started”.
- Navigated to “Bio Hazard” and clicked “4x4” without any hesitation.
- Finished the quote quickly.
Scenario 3 – Quick Quote
- When she saw the ‘distance between each image’ feature, she was stumped and didn’t know what the “4” represented.
- She was also stumped that it was asking for an image size, when she didn’t know it.
- She then asked, “Is that the largest image size?” when looking at the image size on the “Format Your Artwork” popup.
Scenario 4 – Split Rock Lighthouse
- Breezed through this scenario very quickly and wasn’t stumped by anything.
- When she selected the color, her response was “Oh look, it worked!”
Scenario 5 – Caution: Hot Contents
- Navigated through this scenario quickly, without any issues.
- Upon getting to the “Results” page, she wanted to click on “Download PDF” so she could attach that file to an email and then send to her customer.
- Once I asked her to comment about the “Share” button, she said “it would be good if that share included the PDF”.
Scenario 6 – Recycle #4
- After I placed the bag in her hand and said “Quote that…” – she was finished within 10 seconds.
Scenario 7 – Menudo Mix
- Understood the rectangle and circles around the image, were to drag the image around.
- I asked her, “If I wanted to rotate this image, what would I do?” and she pointed me to the ‘reset’ icon on the “Format Your Artwork” popup.
- She noticed how the colors were ‘automatically’ selected for her, and wondered why? Then she asked, “Can I change them?”
- She knows what an “Eye Spot” is.
Scenario 8 – YMCA
- She breezed through this scenario and had no issues at all.
Additional Information:
- “Nothing stands out to me that is missing from this…”
- “Download PDF should be changed”
