With revisions discussed 4/7:
New update (April 6):
This version addresses Bill's feedback (see comments section ) Note - if you click the download link (downward arrow below), and then click on the downloaded file, this will load the PDF into a browser window as a clickable prototype. (At least, that's what it does in my browser (Chrome).)
UPDATE:
Based on discussion with Owen, I've revised this to have a separate tab for choosing an image later. Also, we were missing a vertical tab for choosing a Laddawn stock plate to base a new plate on; I've added that to the "price with a new plate" tab. We also reordered the top tabs, putting price with existing plate first, followed by new plate, followed by the new "choose image later" tab, and then Learn more. (Also, we did discuss having the Laddawn plates and customer plates combined within one menu, but decided it's better to keep them separate.) The next step is to get some input from IT and then have Haley mock these up.
Previous intro:
I've revised this so that in the "new image" screen we are no longer storing a user library of images that have been uploaded but not necessarily ever used. Still unsure though of whether we're allowing existing print plates to double as a library of images to choose from (ie, I want a biohzard symbol just like Laddawn's but I need it to be be bigger), and if we are, where that belongs. I landed (for now) with having it be a fourth choice added to "price with a new plate." It could just as easily live in "Price with an existing plate" - then if the user resizes the plate image in the designer, they are prompted that they are creating a new plate. But that felt a little odd. I came down on the side of it being under "price with a new plate" in order to make this a more conscious choice. Also, I felt that there'd have to be too much explainer text in the "new image" and existing plate screens explaining this as an option. If we give "use image from existing plate" its own tab, it stands out more, and is clearly aligned with pricing something with a new plate.
I've also added a help tab for those who are unsure of where to start. Text is VERY drafty - as is all the language throughout these mockups. Formatting is limited too - for instance, I'd love to bullet some of this text, but don't see an easy way to to do so in Balsamiq.
